Jolanta Miadlikowska

I am a systematist interested in the taxonomy, molecular phylogenetics and evolution of lichenized fungi (with special emphasis on cyanolichens from the genus Peltigera) and their secondary associates (endolichenic fungi). I am a research scientist in the lab of François Lutzoni at Duke. I received my M.S. (1989) and Ph.D. (1999) in Biological Sciences (Ecology and Nature Protection) at the University of Gdansk in Poland. Since then, I have been working with F. Lutzoni as a postdoctoral associate at The Field Museum in Chicago (1999-2001), the Department of Biology at Duke University (2001-2004) and more recently as a research scientist (2004-present) at Duke. More information about my work can be found at http://www.lutzonilab.net/members/page226.shtml
